Molotov Cocktail Film Festival

MCFF will be organised 2-3 times a year. Next event will be held on March 8th 2025 in Vantaa, Finland. Submissions opens November 10th 2024 and festival ticket sales on November 15th 2024. We keep both, the submission and ticket prices as low as possible.

Molotov Cocktail Film Festival 2025 part 1

Every year we choose at least one of the winners of the script category for discussion with the writer for the production.

Rules and terms

All films must be submitted via https://www.wfcn.co/festival/mcff, Vimeo, or YouTube link.

All films must be subtitled in English if English is not the film language.

All films must be final versions. We do not accept work-in-progress versions.

Films under 40 minutes long are considered short films and films at least 40 minutes are considered feature films.

Entry fees are non-refundable.

Each entry has its entry fee, but you may submit to multiple categories that your movie fits into.

The submitter is responsible for the rights of the film. Molotov Cocktail Film Festival is not responsible for any terms of copyright issues. However we accept films that have mechanized music, but in that case, the submitter must let us know which part (timecodes) of the film has copyrighted music.

Organizer have rights to show clips or even the whole film in the festival event, which also may be broadcasted live into YouTube and/or Vimeo. Festival does not pay any royalties or other fees to submitter or any other party. Organizer also have rights to publish still images or short video clips on our social media channel to promote the festival.

We reserve the right to change rules, schedules, categories, prices, etc, at any time.
